Early Years Foundation Stage

Early Years Foundation Stage at Wickhambreaux Church of England School

The Foundation Stage at Wickhambreaux CEP School caters for Reception children aged 4-5 years. It is a stand-alone year group which offers a holistic, topic based approach to learning delivered through the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Requirements are divided into two areas. Prime Areas and Specific Areas.

Prime Areas:

Prime Areas support the development of children’s confidence, resilience and health, which are pivotal in our school Christian ethos.
